The Yenzi (Swallow) Cliff and the Bianfu (Bats) Cave are famous scenic spots along the same trail in the Rueili area. As the name suggests, bats and swallows are often seen on the trail. Along the trail are both original forest and planted bamboo forest. The Kezilin Brook cuts through the valley, making this area an idea habitat for various species of birds including woodpeckers, Muller's Barbet, White-throated Flycatcher Warbler and so on.
Since the trail winds through the forest, you can easily see the dances of these birds as long as you keep from making loud noises that scare them away.
The Chiennian (Millennium) Bats Cave is a collection of caves on a cliff that shoots several hundred meters tall and stretches for two hundred meters in length. The thousands on the cliff is a popular wonder, and house various bats. This spot is sometimes called Taiwan's Dunhuang Cave.
