The Swallow Cliff looks like the eaves expanding out the roofs. On the cliff are numerous tiny holes arranged in lines which were once the place swallows net in. The walking path also passes right below the cliff. While it rains, water streams down on it, making people walking on it feel like they are in a water cave. It is also nicknamed “ Mogao Caves in Taiwan”, which indicated the spectacle of the scenery there.
Swallow Cliff is connected with Bat Caves. Both of them have long been famous as tourist spots in Rei-Li. Although bats and swallows emigrate out there, leaving the cave and cliff for visitors, it is said that there are still 300-400 swallows, most of them are Asian House Martin, flying back here in the night. That’s why this place is still a popular tourist attraction in Rei-Lin Scenic Spot.
