Ding Hu was called Shang Hu Di and is an elevation of 1,680m. It is said that Ding Hu had been an ocean or lake and the mountain was built due to orogeny. It can be seen from diverse lines from the rocky surface. DaDaTsu used to gather here for food and suitable geography and pleasant climate made it an ideal place for vegetable growing in Japanese Colonial Period. Ding Hu Pathway circles the village. Dense woods shields tourists from direct sunlight so that tourists can have pleasant journey and visit the giant stout camphor tree and the well-known spot for watching sunrise-“Da Dong Shan National Pathway”.
